Contact: Mary Harp-Jirschele (ERG) Local executive recruiter APPLETON, WI (Feb. 21, 2006) – Mary Wettstein, Assistant Vice President-Banking, Employment Resource Group Inc. (ERG), has been named Regional Rookie of the Year by Management Recruiters International (MRI). Executive recruiters from 1,100 international offices who completed their first full year in the business in 2005 were eligible for the award. The award was announced at a regional meeting in Chicago on Feb. 10 and the official presentation will take place on March 14 at the Atlantis Resort in The Bahamas. Wettstein is a Neenah resident who has been at ERG for 18 months. Sharon Hulce, president and CEO of ERG, attributes Mary’s success to her previous banking and sales experience. In addition, “Mary is a great relationship builder who serves her clients and candidates well,” she said. “She’s also a great role model in our office – and now for offices across the country.” In presenting the award, Gary Williams, MRI’s vice president of franchise sales in Cleveland, said, “Mary brings tremendous value to her clients through her knowledge of not only the industry, but the players in the market. If you were to look for a dictionary definition of ‘Mary Wettstein,’ you’d find words like ‘leadership, balance and relationship’ next to her name. She’s a well-rounded executive search consultant.” ERG offers a relationship-based approach to recruiting, which is distinct in the industry, and the hallmark of the company’s – and Wettstein’s – success. In 2005, ERG placed $5.5 million in salaries in the Fox Valley, up from $1.8 in 2004. The company specializes in recruiting professionals in construction, manufacturing, banking, healthcare, insurance and financial services, legal, purchasing/supply chain, pharma/nutriceutical and sales/service industries. ERG’s corporate philosophy is one of giving back to the Fox Valley community it calls home. In the past year, the company did pro-bono work for the Appleton Education Foundation, the Fox River Area Girl Scout Council and USA Youth Sports, hiring executive directors for all three organizations. |
