Search and Service in Detail

We begin every search by defining the scope of the project and creating a company profile and collecting data on the position to be filled.  We work closely with you to customize the search based on your unique staffing needs and company culture.  Employment Resource Group offers at least three unique search options:  Executive Retained Search, Contingency Search and Fixed-Cost Project Search.

a. Executive Retained Search
This process is used when the position is critical to your ongoing operations and time is of the essence. You will be assigned a Director of Client Services who will commit the majority of his/her time to filling your position. A minimum of two highly qualified, capable candidates meeting or exceeding your requirements will be presented to you within 90 days.

Benefits of using the Executive Retained Search process include:

  • Your search is given the highest priority.
  • Search consultants are assigned to your project through completion.
  • Screening of candidates either in person or via videoconferencing is available.
  • You are given exclusivity of candidates – they are not accessible to any other company.
  • Our fee is 25% of the candidate’s first-year earnings.
  • The first one-third of the fee is paid up front to bind the commitment; the balance is paid upon hiring the candidate.
  • Your replacement guarantee extends to 180 days.
  • Cost-saving relocation options are offered.

b. Contingency Search
Contingency Search is best used when there is less urgency to the search and the need to fill the position is less critical. We will come to agreement on the time and resources that will be devoted to the search.

Benefits of using the Contingency Search process include:

  • No financial commitment is required to initiate the search.
  • Screening of candidates can be done in person or via videoconferencing.
  • Our fee is 30% of the candidate’s first-year earnings.
  • Your replacement guarantee is 90 days.
  • Cost-saving relocation options are offered.
  • There is no exclusivity of candidates (other companies will have access to them).

c. Fixed-cost Project Search
A project search is highly variable; cost and scope will be determined and a contract signed to initiate the search.  Project search can be a cost-effective means of filling multiple positions with individuals who have the same profile. A project team will be dedicated to your search from start to finish. As with other searches, results are guaranteed and this process offers many of the same benefits as the executive search process.
