Wilton native completes
Successful United Way
Fund drive in Appleton area

Appleton, WI (Jan. 24, 2007) – Wilton native Sharon Hulce, daughter of Barbara Savall and the late Raymond Birkholz, was honored for her contributions to the United Way Fox Cities campaign at a celebration on Jan. 23 at the Radisson Paper Valley Hotel. Hulce co-chaired the very successful 2006 campaign, which raised $6.45 million for 100-plus community programs.  The total reflects the most money raised in the history of the Fox Cities program.

Hulce is president and CEO of Employment Resource Group Inc., an executive search firm based in Appleton. She is very active in the community and spent the past year co-leading the massive effort with another Appleton CEO.

In recognizing her contributions, Cindy Berton, Campaign Director, told the crowd assembled at the awards program, Sharon was “involved every step of the way, from the many early morning planning meetings, working closely with our volunteers, making campaign presentations, interviewing with local media, speaking at campaign events, and the many personal calls and visits with our community business leaders and supporters…all with a high level of energy and enthusiasm.”

Presenting Sharon with a plaque, Berton continued, “Your belief in the Mission of United Way was the driving force as you guided the campaign this past year, with a focus of improving lives in the Fox Cities. You have given unselfishly of your time and resources and shared so much to help make our community/our home a better place for all of us.”
